Key responsibilities will include:- Supporting project managers in the planning and execution of roadway design projects.
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and timelines.
- Conducting engineering analysis and design for assigned projects.
- Designing projects or project components and preparing project documents.
- Applying engineering techniques, methods, and design criteria to support project execution.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Preparing and reviewing project documentation, reports, and specifications.
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- May be involved in the mentorship and development of junior level staff.
Qualifications for this role:- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain
- 5+ years of progressive experience in roadway and highway design, including work on ODOT or local agency projects
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support project delivery across multiple tasks
- Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads required; experience in AutoCAD, and Civil 3D preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement
