Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our RN Program Coordinator, you will manage the build-out and oversee the day-to-day operations of facility programs, serving on accreditation committees, and contributing to the development and effectiveness of essential service lines. This is the program manager for ECMO. 

 

Every day you will maintain detailed records to measure program effectiveness, monitor concurrent and retrospective data collection, and strive to obtain/maintain program certifications. You will also collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop practice guidelines and clinical pathways, facilitate service line education for staff, and participate in enterprise clinical councils, serving as a role model, teacher, coach, and mentor.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with strong program management and clinical skills, expertise in data analysis and regulatory compliance, and a proven ability to lead performance improvement initiatives. Your capacity for collaboration, education, and mentorship is essential for service line growth and quality.

  • Provides coordination of the service line program, team and associated support staff to achieve and maintain desired quality and cost outcome goals. This includes writing, reviewing and revising program policies, procedures, protocols and practice standards.
  • Provides consultative services to support the assessment, nursing diagnoses, outcome identification, planning implementation (to include care coordination, health teaching and health promotion/consultation) monitoring and evaluation of patients in the area of specialty.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities in collaboration with the medical staff, rehabilitation staff, nursing staff, and service line leadership, including making recommendations on performance improvement activities.
  • Responsible for the coordination of quality and data abstraction as it relates to the program.
  • Must be comfortable in developing protocols, procedures and order sets with physicians, and presenting before high profile bodies such as the Community Board.
  • Works closely with facility, regional, and national service line leaders and medical directors.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Five (5) years of nursing experience in acute care.
  • Two (2) years nursing experience in critical care. 
  • Experience with data analysis and performance improvement.
  • Experience with program coordination.
  • Advanced knowledge in nursing, evidence-based practice methods, and person-centered care concepts.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and requirements.
  • Current state RN license for applicable state of employment or current RN license from a participating state in National Compact Licensure.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association. Additional certifications may be required (refer to facility addendum(s).
  • Certification in applicable professional clinical specialty or nursing administration upon hire or within six (6) months (such as CNML).

 

Preferred

  • MSN or Master's degree
  • Previous leadership experience
