Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during the perioperative period.
Act as a patient advocate and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
Assess the surgical environment for potential safety concerns and intervene as necessary.
Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of surgical procedures.
Orient new staff members and assist with educational programs.
Manage and maintain supplies and equipment for care delivery.

What you will do:
The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, and securing and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.
