Compensation & Incentives- Pay Range: $44.77 to $71.09 per hour
- Compensation is based on years of paid registered nursing experience in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Position SummaryThe ICU Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards, evidence-based practice, and departmental policies. This role collaborates closely with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Accurately document patient care and clinical information in the electronic health record.
- Delegate and direct patient care activities in accordance with team members' education, licensure, and demonstrated competencies.
- Maintain professional knowledge and clinical competency through ongoing education and development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts, infection prevention activities, and departmental goals.
- Support and uphold PeaceHealth policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducationRequired- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Specialty certification
ExperienceRequired- Minimum of one year of recent ICU experience as a Staff Nurse
Licensure & CertificationsRequired- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
ACLS and PALS must be obtained upon hire or in accordance with PeaceHealth Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements.
Additional requirements:
- Telemetry certification within 90 days of hire
- 12-Lead EKG Basics within 12 months of hire
Skills & Abilities- Demonstrated ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles when caring for patients across the lifespan.

- Ability to interpret and support organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Working ConditionsPhysical Requirements- Safely handle patients in accordance with NIOSH guidelines and established patient-lifting protocols.
- Frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to perform prolonged CPR when required.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and squatting.
- Ability to perform fine motor tasks and operate medical equipment safely and accurately.
- Occasional lifting of non-patient loads up to 20 lbs.
Environmental Conditions- Exposure to biohazardous materials, body fluids, and airborne particles.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and occasionally noisy clinical environments.
Sensory Requirements- Functional vision and hearing with or without corrective devices.
- Ability to accurately communicate, monitor patients, and exchange critical information.
