JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Trade Credit Risk Associate in Trade Credit Risk, Wholesale Credit Risk, you provide independent credit judgment and constructive challenge on trade and working capital financing transactions. You partner with product, sales, coverage, legal, and risk stakeholders to deliver well-structured solutions that align risk views with deal execution. You support transaction reviews, documentation assessment, and ongoing portfolio monitoring, while helping strengthen policies, controls, and risk management practices as the platform grows.

Job responsibilities

  • Review new originations, renewals, and amendments for structured working capital transactions, including structure, obligor and counterparty risk, collateral, and repayment sources
  • Analyze key documentation terms and identify risk mitigants to support well-governed approvals
  • Advise first-line partners on credit line requests by assessing product suitability, structure, and controls
  • Communicate risk views and propose solutions for transactions in the pipeline
  • Monitor transaction-level and portfolio-level performance, including emerging risks and concentrations
  • Develop risk monitoring frameworks as the portfolio expands and adds product variations
  • Apply portfolio analytics and data-driven insights to enhance monitoring, trend detection, and decision support
  • Evaluate variations from standard documentation and product guidelines and recommend risk management decisions
  • Partner with stakeholders to assess new product structures, policy exceptions, and control solutions
  • Support the rollout of new trade products by contributing to risk policies and controls
  • Deliver training on trade products and associated risks to internal partners

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in credit risk, trade risk, or structured finance
  • Strong credit analysis skills, including transaction structuring and risk identification
  • Relevant experience or strong interest in structured working capital finance or other trade finance products, or transferable experience from adjacent fields such as securitisation and asset financing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a time-sensitive environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong business and analytical judgment with a solutions-oriented approach
  • Ability to analyze portfolio data, identify trends, and translate insights into clear risk views
  • Comfort using technology-enabled tools (including large language model tools where appropriate) to support monitoring and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision-making through constructive challenge
