Description Summary:
Leads capture planning and opportunity development for federal research and contracting opportunities, coordinating technical, business, and proposal teams from opportunity identification through award.
Examples of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the complete capture lifecycle from qualification through contract award.
- Develop capture plans, win strategies, and customer engagement plans.
- Conduct competitive intelligence, price-to-win, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate teaming agreements and solution development.
- Support storyboards, color reviews, and proposal strategy.
- Maintain CRM data and capture documentation.
- Use AI-enabled market research and opportunity analysis tools.
Typical Qualifications Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.):
- Bachelor's degree.
- 4-8 years of capture, proposal, or business development experience.
- Knowledge of FAR-based acquisitions, OTAs, BAAs, and federal procurement.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Supplemental Information Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Shipley training or equivalent.
- Experience with Huntsville federal agencies and major IDIQs.
- Current Secret clearance
- Capture milestones achieved on schedule.
- Improved proposal quality and win probability.
- Successful transition from capture to proposal.
