Area Revenue Manager! While based out of the Hyatt at Olive 8, this Area Revenue Manager may have the opportunity support our collection of Hyatt Hotels in downtown Seattle, including also the Hyatt Regency Seattle, and/or the Grand Hyatt Seattle.
Our collection of Hyatt Hotels in Seattle seek a strategic, analytical, and commercially minded Area Revenue Manager to lead revenue optimization efforts across Rooms and Events while supporting initiatives that enhance the commercial performance of our Seattle-area hotels.
As a member of the Area Revenue team, this role will focus on Hyatt Olive 8 and have lead decision making control over revenue strategies that support the overall success and performance of the complex. The Area Revenue Manager will also support the Area Director through shared assistant responsibilities, including analysis, reporting, strategic preparation, and follow-through on area commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute pricing, inventory, and distribution strategies to maximize RevPAR, RevPAS, and TRevPAR.
• Analyze market trends, competitive performance, booking patterns, and demand indicators to identify revenue opportunities.
• Align revenue strategy with sales initiatives, marketing campaigns, and overall commercial priorities.
• Provide guidance on Sales Manager leads that fall outside the booking guidelines established by Commercial Services leadership.
• Monitor key performance metrics and recommend actions to improve hotel profitability and business mix.
Forecasting & Business Planning
• Produce accurate short- and long-term Rooms forecasts.
• Evaluate performance against budget, forecast, and competitive-set results.
• Provide data-driven insights to support annual budgeting and business planning.
• Identify risks and opportunities through ongoing analysis of pace, pickup, demand, and market conditions.
Leadership & Team Development
• Produce and distribute high-quality, accurate reporting and analysis across divisions.
• Ensure consistent system maintenance, data integrity, and reporting accuracy.
• Lead effective collaboration with Commercial Services and Hotel Operations teams.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, curiosity, accountability, and commercial awareness.
• Support the development of revenue management capabilities across the area.
Rate, Inventory & Distribution Oversight
• Ensure optimal room availability and pricing across all relevant channels.
• Evaluate and manage OTA promotions and other distribution opportunities.
• Maintain rate integrity and parity across distribution channels.
• Proactively identify and resolve Best Rate Guarantee violations to protect revenue and brand standards.
• Oversee the loading of rates, promotions, packages, and restrictions in all relevant systems.
Group & Event Revenue Optimization
• Review group requests for pricing, displacement, and profitability.
• Partner with Event Planning to optimize group blocks, pickup, and meeting-space utilization.
• Provide strategic guidance on business mix and event-space revenue opportunities.
• Evaluate the total value and profitability of group and event business.
