Full Job Description
THE ROLE

We're hiring a Revenue Analyst to scale the data foundation behind Baseten's revenue and usage reporting.

This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Revenue Operations. You'll connect contract terms, pricing and CPQ data, product usage, metering, billing and invoices into an accurate view of customer revenue.

Working alongside Finance Systems, you'll translate new pricing and contract structures into durable data models and dashboards that give Finance and Revenue Operations a trusted view of revenue.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and maintain production-grade dbt models and dashboards that connect Salesforce and CPQ, contracts, Orb and product usage data.
  • Create canonical marts for customers, products, contract terms, subscriptions, commitments, credits, billable usage, and invoices.
  • Reconcile metered product usage to billed revenue, invoice line items and contract terms. Investigate gaps before they affect customers or financial reporting.
  • Partner with Finance and Revenue Operations to define and govern metrics for bookings, contracted commitments, consumption, billed revenue, ARR, NDR and expansion.
  • Support monthly close, revenue forecasting, and operating reviews with variance and trend analysis.
  • Document metric logic, source ownership, lineage, and exception handling. Add tests and version control so revenue data stays reliable as systems change.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analysis, revenue analytics or a related role, ideally at a high-growth B2B company.
  • Advanced SQL and dbt skills, with a record of building production-grade models, tests, documentation, and lineage in a cloud data warehouse.
  • Hands-on experience with usage-based billing or metering platforms such as Orb and payment platforms such as Stripe.
  • Experience modeling usage-based commercial terms, including minimum commitments, prepaid credits, tiered or volume pricing, overages, custom rate cards, and contract changes.
  • Experience working with Salesforce and CPQ data, including products, price books, quotes, orders, amendments, and renewals.
  • Experience building dashboards and self-serve analytics in BI tools such as Sigma or Hex.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with Orb in a high-growth B2B consumption-based business.
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition, monthly close, and audit support.
  • Experience with AI infrastructure, developer platforms, or inference.

BENEFITS
  • Competitive compensation, including meaningful equity.
  • 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and dependents
  • Flexible PTO policy including company wide Winter Break (our offices are closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day!)

  • Fertility and family-building stipend through Carrot
  • Company-facilitated 401(k)
  • Exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
