Full Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Revenue Senior Associate to join our Corporate Finance team. This is a mid-to-senior individual contributor role with broad visibility across CAIS's revenue operations and close collaboration with Finance, Fund Management, Legal, and Operations. This high-impact role will own end-to-end revenue and AR processes across multiple subsidiaries and business lines, lead the utilization and optimization of revenue automation tools, and serve as a key contributor during month-end and year-end close.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the monthly revenue close process for multiple entities, including revenue accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, and preparing supporting schedules.
• Review customer contracts and evaluate revenue recognition under ASC 606; Ensure revenue across CAIS's revenue streams is recognized in compliance with ASC 606, including contract review, accurate recording, and audit-ready documentation
• Oversee the end-to-end customer billing processacross CAIS's various subsidiaries and business lines, covering management fees, placement fees, and platform revenue on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis, validating against fund agreements prior to issuance
• Oversee incoming payments and monitor accounts for overdue balances, following up with clients, fund administrators, and custodians to resolve discrepancies and outstanding receivables
• Maintain accurate AR and GL records, including preparing and posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and investigating discrepancies
• Utilize and optimize BillingPlatform to streamline invoicing and automate revenue workflows, supporting broader revenue automation initiatives as needed
• Prepare aging reports and monthly AR financial reports, and contribute to month-end, year-end close, and annual audit processes
• Establish, document, and continuously improve internal controls and processes across the AR and billing function, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency as CAIS grows
• Partner with Fund Management, Operations, and Sales to ensure fee calculations and invoicing are accurate and aligned with executed fund agreements and advisor contracts
• Perform other duties as assigned related to accounts receivable and finance
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA Strongly Perferred
• 4-6 years of revenue operations, billing, or accounts receivable experience within financial services
• Prior experience at a hedge fund, private equity firm, fund administrator, or alternative investment platform strongly preferred
• Self-starter who takes initiative, learns quickly in a fast-paced environment and will implement new methods to improve ways of working
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
• Strong commitment to continuous professional development and improvement of the team
• Excellent relationship management aptitude and attitude
• Demonstrated AI fluency: comfortable using AI-assisted tools (e.g. drafting, summarization, research) in day-to-day work, with sound judgment about when and how to apply them
• Prior experience in a small to mid-sized firm or startup environment preferred
• Experience with NetSuite and BillingPlatform or similar revenue automation tools preferred
CAIS' compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
