Retirement Plans SupervisorFull-time, PermanentAlberta, Canada - RemoteGraymont is seeking a bilingual (French & English) Retirement Plans Supervisor to administer various employee retirement programs such as defined benefit and contribution pension plans and support the Total Rewards team on various initiatives. Reporting to the Director Total Rewards, the Retirement Plans Supervisor can be based out of either our Corporate office in Richmond, BC or Brossard, QC working a hybrid model or out of Alberta working a remote model.
Responsibilities- Administer Canadian and US pension programs for hourly and salaried employees
- Manage third-party relationships, such as retirement consultants, trustees, and record-keepers
- Create and deliver employee retirement education and communication
- Reconcile/process monthly invoices and contribution remittances
- Maintain employee personnel and pension files
- Support Employee and Labor Relations team on various issues
- Participate in the developement of various HR initiatives
Qualifications- Education: Diploma in Business Administration or Human Resource Management with completion of courses leading to Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification
- Language Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English
- Professional Experience: Minimum 2 years of related retirement experience
- Good knowledge of Canadian government legislation relating to retirement plans, especially for the province of Quebec
- Knowledge of US pension legislation would also be an asset
- Advanced skills in standard office applications (Excel, Word)
- Technology Experience: Skills in the use of enterprise level information systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, JDE, ADP) database
- Additional Assets: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Well organized with superior attention to detail
- Ability to manage handle high volume workload and balance multiple tasks
- Ability to work accurately with figures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
