Department: Respiratory TherapySchedule: Full-Time | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AMFacility: Holy Family Medical CenterLocation: Des Plaines, IL

Interview Process

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management)
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
• Perform pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs)
• Implement patient-specific respiratory care plans
• Document care in the EMR
• Respond to code blue and rapid response events
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
• May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.     State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required

2.     Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3.     Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required

4.     2 years experience as an RCP preferred.

5.     ACLS certificate within 60 day of hire and maintain current.

6.     NRP certificate preferred 

7.     PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.

8.     Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred

9.     High School Diploma or equivalent is required

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $36.77 to $53.26. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
