Additional Position Details: FTE: 0.9 | Full Time | Variable Schedule Nights

Salary Range: $39.91 - $54.89

Shift Differentials:

  • $1.79 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • $3.75 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
  • $1.60 extra for working weekends

Position Summary


The Respiratory Care Practitioner 2 at Asante is an Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner has acquired additional credentialing and competencies as outlined in the Respiratory Critical Care Orientation, Respiratory Care Services Competency Evaluation and Respiratory Care Services' Career Ladder, in one or more of the following: Adult Critical Care, Pediatric Care, Neonatal Care, Pulmonary Function Technology, Team leadership. The RCP-2 may enable the practitioner to perform respiratory care duties in the adult intensive care units, attend to patients in the ER and/or provide pediatric floor care if applicable. Responsibilities may also include management of blood gas labs, as assigned for specific job roles.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or respiratory related sciences, preferred

Experience

  • Successful applicants should have experience specific to the posted Advanced Practitioner specialty position. Such experience should indicate that the applicant would be able to demonstrate advanced competencies after completion of orientation(s).

Licensure/Certifications

  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • An individual licensed prior to January 1, 2018, who obtained licensure with a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential through the NBRC, is not required to obtain the RRT credential
  • RT-P: Respiratory Therapist licensed by Oregon Health Licensing Office (HLO) required upon start
  • Temp license may be considered and permanent license must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
  • For Asante Three Rivers Medical Center (ATRMC); (NRP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program is required upon start.
