GFT is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our Construction Services Group in New Jersey! This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead critical construction efforts on large-scale roadway and bridge transportation projects in New Jersey.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Provide overall leadership and management for construction projects.
- Maintain comprehensive construction project records.
- Oversee interactions with clients and inspection staff on contract change orders, item payments, and material testing.
- Conduct project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- Develop monthly progress reports.
What you will bring to our firm:
- Professional Engineering (PE) License in New Jersey or
- Certifications such as TCC, NJSAT, and ACI are preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in construction management.
- Prior experience as an Assistant Resident Engineer or Resident Engineer.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites.
- Experience with NJDOT and/or NJTA inspection procedures, specifications, and documentation requirements.
What we prefer you bring:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering
- Experience with airport projects
- Certifications such as Rutgers TCC, NJSAT, ACI (preferred).
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $155,000 - $220,000 per year. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
