IHRE AUFGABEN
This is a hybrid position located in Northville, Michigan
Job Objective
To provide optimum customer support in terms of acquisition and product coordination, customer service, and quality.
Ensuring the achievement of deadlines, cost control, quotation preparation and securing optimum pricing.
To recognize market developments from customer and competitive points of view and make suggestions about the joint
definition of future technologies and necessary measures. Building up a good customer relationship and looking after
personal contacts at the customer whilst realizing personal and departmental targets / objectives.
1 Customer relations
Continually build and improve customer relationships through presentations and consultations of
both a technical and commercial nature. Coordinate customer visits internally and externally,
provide representation on site and support for strategically important issues. In so doing to
maintain current business while obtaining new orders, thereby securing and improving
turnover/yield.
2 Product planning/ updating and project coordination
To look after existing and development projects at the customers, and start/ stop developments on
site in agreement with superiors. Process tasks set by the customers/Hella Companies and forward
the tasks resulting from these to internal organizational units. Arrange for product-specific
rationalization and value creation measures to be initiated. Process engineering change management
requests by Hella or the customer during and after the project phase
in order to
be able to present and implement optimum technical solutions to the customer.
3 Project control
Push cost specifications at the customers in connection with cost lifetime and special production
costs. Arrange for invoicing for samples / prototype series deliveries as well as for tool costs
in order to
guarantee adherence to the budgeted costs or even remain below them.
4 Competitive situations
To observe, analyze and report on the market situation, competitive activities, customer wishes,
trends, benchmark components
in order to secure and extend optimum market shares in the long term
5 Quality
To support the respective departments within the company if serious problems occur during the
course of series production, series processing, in the event of quality defects,
in order to avoid negative customer reaction with regard to future business.
6 Contacts
To build up and look after personal customer contacts,
in order to achieve the best possible customer contact network for the advancement of business opportunities.
7 Acquisition
To carry out acquisition activities according to "strategic selling" in early phases
(design-finding phases) up until order placement, in order to win new orders.
8 Exhibition service
Participation in exhibitions (booth service) and support for internal
