Posting Summary This position is for a Research Associate who will act as a project manager for the Ellison and Brand labs. Responsibilities include performing laboratory and computational experiments, writing and/or contributing to scientific manuscripts, and mentoring students and trainees. Performing experiments and data analysis in order to achieve research aims. Writing and contributing to scientific manuscripts to publish findings . Mentoring trainees so that they may complete their own research projects.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience PhD is required along with knowledge of molecular biology, computer programming, statistical analysis and genome evolution. Mentoring experience is also required.
Certifications/LicensesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities PhD is required along with knowledge of molecular biology, computer programming, statistical analysis and genome evolution. Mentoring experience is also required.
Preferred QualificationsEquipment Utilized Standard molecular biology equipment and procedures, fly husbandry, Perl and/or python programming languages, R statistical package and the Unix operating system

Immunization Requirements
