Full Job Description
Position Overview: The Research Analyst will play a key role in conducting deep fundamental research on globally listed companies within the Materials and Energy sectors. Responsibilities include building and maintaining detailed financial models, analyzing company and industry trends, and developing well-supported investment recommendations grounded in rigorous accounting and financial analysis. The Analyst will engage directly with senior management teams at covered companies, collaborate with sell-side analysts, and clearly communicate research findings and recommendations to the investment team. This role also involves close collaboration with research colleagues across geographies, including teammates in China, and providing cross-sectoral perspectives to both fundamental and quantitative researchers covering areas such as Communications Services, Consumer, Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrials, Technology, and Utilities. Each Research Analyst is paired with at least one senior investment professional who serves as a mentor, providing ongoing guidance and exposure to the firm's investment philosophy and decision-making process. The program is designed as a 2-4 year role, with the potential for continued growth and advancement within the firm upon completion.

Skills and Abilities:
  • 2-4 years of financial experience; equity research experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior Materials and/or Energy sector research experience is highly desirable.
  • Undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials; CFA designation or progress toward CFA is strongly preferred.
  • Graduate degree in Business is a plus.

Annual Salary: $130,000 - 140,000. Additionally, the Research Analyst will be eligible for an annual, discretionary bonus.
