Reliability Maintenance Manager

Global Chemical Manufacturing | Full-Time | West Virginia

As our facility continues its transition from commissioning into full commercial production, you'll play a critical role in maximizing equipment reliability, improving plant performance, and helping shape the long-term success of this world-class operation.

What You'll Do | As the Reliability Maintenance Manager, you'll serve as the plant's technical leader for equipment reliability while leading a team of maintenance professionals responsible for keeping critical manufacturing assets operating safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop maintenance supervisors, planners, technicians, and reliability personnel
  • Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies
  • Improve equipment reliability, asset utilization, and overall plant performance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, TPM, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and reliability best practices
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and rotating equipment issues
  • Optimize maintenance planning, scheduling, and work execution
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to improve plant performance
  • Establish and monitor maintenance KPIs to drive operational excellence
  • Lead equipment failure investigations and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Manage maintenance budgets while improving reliability and reducing costs
  • Oversee spare parts inventory and critical equipment strategies
  • Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), environmental regulations, and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and regulatory records
  • Support plant expansion, capital projects, equipment upgrades, and debottlenecking initiatives
  • Develop technical training programs for maintenance personnel and operations teams

  • Large steam turbines

  • Rotating equipment
  • Process equipment supplied by leading global manufacturers

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and equipment reliability within continuous manufacturing operations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
  • Equivalent hands-on maintenance leadership experience will also be considered
  • 10+ years of maintenance and reliability experience in a chemical, petrochemical, refining, specialty chemicals, food ingredients, or other continuous process manufacturing environment
  • Previous maintenance leadership or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Demonstrated experience leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Expertise in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and equipment optimization
  • Experience using CMMS and maintenance management software
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, environmental, and industrial safety regulations

Highly Desired Experience | Candidates with extensive hands-on experience maintaining and improving large rotating equipment will be especially successful in this role.

Required Experience | To be successful in this position, candidates must have significant preventive and predictive maintenance experience with large rotating production equipment used in continuous process manufacturing environments, including chemical, petrochemical, refining, or similar industrial facilities.

Work Environment | This position is based within an operating manufacturing facility.
