Position Description:

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Release Manager within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.

The Release Manager oversees the entire software release lifecycle. They bridge the gap between development, QA, and IT operations, ensuring smooth, safe deployment of features from development to production. They act as the ultimate authority on release governance, scheduling, and risk mitigation.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Release Strategy & Planning: Develop overall Configuration and Release Management Plans, creating consolidated delivery schedules with cross-functional teams.
• Governance & Compliance: Enforce engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps policies while chairing Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
• Risk & Issue Management: Conduct pre-release impact assessments and manage rollbacks if production issues occur.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide progress reports to leadership and act as the liaison between business owners and technical IT SMEs.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 10+ years of experience
• Security Clearance: TS with ability to obtain and maintain SCI with CI Poly
• Technical Acumen: Hands-on expertise with release/project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps) and configuration baselines.
• Methodologies: Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps models.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional cross-team coordination, executive-level communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $214,800.00.
