Full Job Description
Frier Levitt's Pine Brook, New Jersey, office seeks an experienced, mid-level Regulatory Associate Attorney with Healthcare or Life Sciences experience.
The Associate Attorney will be responsible for, and should be familiar with:
Researching, analyzing, and drafting memoranda related to complex Healthcare and Life Sciences arrangements
Evaluating existing and/or proposed business practices to identify regulatory compliance issues and recommending risk mitigation options
Drafting and negotiating transactional documents including service, purchase, management, lease, licensing, employment, operating, and shareholder agreements
Preparing change of ownership filings and other agency notifications related to Healthcare and Life Sciences licensees
Communicating effectively with clients
Requirements:
Licensed to Practice in NJ
Licensed in NY or other states a plus (CA admission a particular plus)
4+ years' experience practicing law
Experience with healthcare laws and regulations, including:
Federal and state anti-kickback laws
Federal and state self-referral prohibitions
HPAA and patient privacy provisions
False Claims Act
Healthcare Fraud Statute
Experience with state telehealth requirements and professional practice regulations a plus
Corporate practice of medicine prohibitions
Superior research and writing skills
Strong verbal and written communication
Strong preference for law school GPA of 3.0+
