Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Employment Type: Local or Travel Contract
Pay:
  • Local: 2,228.36 per week
  • Travel: 2,469.17 per week

Schedule
  • Full-time contract schedule, commonly 36 hours per week for hospital-based assignments.
  • Shifts may include nights, rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call requirements depending on facility coverage needs.

JobSummary

Registered Respiratory Therapistsassess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonarydisorders across hospital and critical care settings. These assignments oftenrequire experience with emergency response, ventilator management, andmultidisciplinary inpatient care.

Responsibilities

  • Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, aerosol medications, and other prescribed respiratory therapies.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators and other life-support equipment
  • Perform arterial blood gas analysis and communicate relevant findings to the clinical team when required.
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies, rapid responses, and code situations in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory treatment plans, equipment use, and disease management.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation while following infection control and patient safety protocols.

RequiredQualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in Respiratory Care from an accredited program.
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential and active state licensure where required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of recent acute care or hospital respiratory therapy experience preferred
