Scheduling: What to ExpectPassport Health uses a census-based scheduling model, meaning scheduled hours are influenced by client demand, which can vary by location and season. We aim to provide as much consistency and predictability as possible, with schedules planned up to 6-12 months in advance where operationally feasible. However, scheduled hours are not guaranteed in every market, and actual hours may fluctuate based on business needs and patient volume.
Here's what that means in practice:
- Scheduling is based on client demand and may vary by week and season.
- We work to establish forward-looking schedules to support work-life planning.
- Nurses are expected to provide availability within established scheduling windows.
- Flexibility with preferred days, times, weekend coverage, and multiple clinic locations may create additional scheduling opportunities.
- Peak travel season, typically February through August, generally brings higher client volume and more consistent demand.
- We're looking for nurses who value the balance of clinical autonomy and schedule flexibility while understanding the realities of a demand-based healthcare environment.
