Salary Details

The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. - CAD $55.91/Hr.

Within the context of a client and family centred care model and in accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of professional practice and Code of Ethics for registered nurses, and the established vision and values of the organization, works in collaboration with other members of the health care team, to use appropriate clinical judgment to provide optimal neonatal care to patients and their families. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and appropriate documentation of care for assigned patients in Special Care Nursery. Is knowledgeable of and adheres to standards of professional nursing and patient care practice in accordance with Health Authority policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Graduate of an approved nursing program.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and current National Registration in CPR - NRP required.
  • Completion of a post-basic neonatal program certificate/diploma and two (2) years' recent related experience in a Level 2-3 neonatal Unit supplemented by courses in breastfeeding or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
