Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Current RN license in the state of employment
• Current BLS certification
• Desired training or certification in cardiac monitoring, radiology nursing, or IV therapy
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience, ideally in acute care, radiology, or outpatient setting
• Required experience with EKG monitoring and IV therapy

Responsibilities

• Monitor pacemaker-dependent and cardiac patients during MRI scans for safety
• Analyze EKG tracings to identify arrhythmias or abnormal cardiac activity
• Respond to adverse reactions or emergencies by monitoring vital signs and patient conditions
• Start IVs, administer medications, and manage contrast reactions per protocols
• Assist with patient check-in, exam review, and procedural preparation
• Collaborate with technologists and radiologists for coordinated patient care
• Document findings and interventions accurately in the EMR
• Support quality assurance initiatives and engage in continuous improvement activities
