Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN Nursing program required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active RN licensure in Maryland without disciplinary issues.
• Current BLS certification needed.
• Minimum of 1 year continual experience in the same long-term care facility required; 2+ years preferred.
• Preferred IV insertion skills.
• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical experience required for specific assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care per established standards and individualized care plans.
• Act as shift Charge Nurse as assigned, overseeing team tasks.
• Conduct resident/patient assessments upon admission and as per unit standards.
• Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance through clinical rounds.
• Maintain and update resident/patient clinical records following established protocols.
• Transcribe physicians' orders accurately to charts and medication records.
• Administer medications and treatments as per regulations and procedures.
