Interventional Vascular Unit (IVU) - Pre/Post RN | Local ContractShift Details
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- No on-call or holiday requirements
Unit Overview
- The Interventional Vascular Unit (IVU) is a 16-bed pre/post area with 3 procedural rooms
- Serves both outpatient and inpatient populations
- Specializes in diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Collaborative team environment working closely with vascular surgeons, radiologists, cardiologists, anesthesia teams, and neuro radiologists
- EMR: Epic
- Scrubs are provided by the unit
Role Responsibilities
- Providing pre/post patient care
- Assessing patient health problems and needs
- Providing patient education
- Maintaining medical records
- Administering moderate sedation intra-procedure
- IV starts and general procedure preparation
- Management of emergency events
- Maintenance of a safe patient environment
Patient Ratio
- 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Same nurse, same patient - start to finish
Requirements
- BSN required
- 2+ years of experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Experienced PACU or Endo RN would be considered
- Manager is open to first-time travelers
