Overview Performs a variety of duties related to cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and neuro radiology procedures and responsible for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients. Responsible for necessary quality control performance and documentation that supports best practice standards and accreditation initiatives. The Registered Nurse utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on age, physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. What you will do 37Demonstrates ability to assess patient clinical ands psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population served. ( I.E. surgical, med surg, critical care, ED, specialty unit). 37Partners with patients and families to develop, implement and evaluate plan of care, treatments and procedures that contribute to the physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient. Assesses and incorporates evidence-based standards of practice. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the coordination care. Facilitates safe patient transitions to the next care setting as part of plan of care. 37Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements. 37Demonstrates organization of work, knowledge of process/procedure for applicable modality(s) and performs independently without close supervision. 37Demonstrates accountability for environment of care and ensures availability of necessary resources to provide positive work flow and efficient daily operations. 37Participates positively by taking ownership in training and support of all team members and students as needed. Qualifications Education 37Bachelors Degree, Nursing (Preferred) or 37Associates Degree, Nursing (Preferred) or 37Program Graduate, Nursing (Required) and 37High School Diploma or GED, Only Required if Nursing Diploma Graduate (Required) Experience 37 2 years Interventional Procedure Experience (Required) 37 2 years Able to scrub and circulate and/or monitor in at least 2 or more modalities (Required) Licenses and Certifications 37Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required) and 37CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required) and 37ACLS Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 1-1/2 Yrs(Required)
