JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for assisting with setup, monitoring and documentation of cardiac cath lab diagnostic and interventional procedures and providing comprehensive patient care in the pre and post holding area and during diagnostic and interventional procedures. This position involves participation in 24/7 coverage of the cardiac catheterization lab.
This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including young adult through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training/Experience:REQUIRED:
- Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic cardiology course or equivalent.
- RN with 1 year critical care experience.
PREFERRED:
- previous experience in diagnostic and/or interventional cath lab procedures.
- BSN
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:- Possesses current State RN license.
