Outpatient Surgery/OR team is hiring a
Registered Nurse (RN).
Available Schedule(s): Full-time: 6:30am-3:00pm, 7:00am-3:30pm & other shifts as needed This position is at the Madison Irving Surgery Center, but may also float to the Physician Office Building (POB) Surgery Center.
Pay Rate: $39.78 - $51.50 based on experience
Registered Nurse (RN) Position Responsibilities:- Provides professional judgment and knowledge of roles as it pertains to the Crouse Hospital Professional Nursing Practice Model.
- Carries out duties and responsibilities per legal requirements under the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice, with emphasis on leading a culture of safe care.
- Responsible for all activities requiring assessment, planning, diagnosing, evaluating, judgment, problem-solving, creating and implementing the plan of care.
- Provides appropriate education to patients and families to promote health, facilitate rehabilitation and maintain wellness. Evaluates effectiveness and revises as appropriate.
- Monitors and evaluates patient responses to treatment/plan of care during hospital stay.
- Utilizes and engages in evidence-based practice to deliver quality patient care.
- Demonstrates characteristics and skills that promote critical thinking in clinical problem-solving situations.
Registered Nurse (RN) Position Requirements: - Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Must have one year of Operation Room or Surgical Nursing experience.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.
- For RNs licensed in or after 2017, completion of a Bachelor's of Nursing Degree will be required within 8 years of the date the license was obtained.
- Certification in a specialty area preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
