Where you will work:Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute - New Patient Referral Team is a remote-based team committed to ensuring timely and seamless access to cancer care across all Levine Cancer sites. Our team is composed of
care coordinators and a registered nurse who specialize in reviewing incoming referrals from non-Atrium practices. We carefully assess each referral, request additional medical records as needed, and direct patients to the appropriate clinic based on their diagnosis and geographic location. Our work involves close collaboration with both internal departments and external referring offices to ensure patients are connected to the right care team as quickly and efficiently as possible.
This is a
remote RN position, , with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Looking for an experienced oncology nurse that is detail oriented and able to work independently to review referrals and our Levine Cancer guidelines to direct referral timing, additional records needed, and location/departments where referrals should be directed within our facility.
We're Looking For:- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- One year of Nursing experience
- Oncology experience required
What You'll Do:- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
- Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
- May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.
