Jamaica Hospital Medical Center | Queens, NY Responsibilities - Monitor maternal vital signs and fetal heart rate throughout labor and delivery
- Assess for complications and respond appropriately in emergent situations
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and cesarean sections
- Administer medications and support pain management interventions
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Provide immediate newborn care, including assessment and stabilization
- Support breastfeeding and postpartum recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams

Requirements - Current New York State Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current BCLS, NRP (NALS), and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Fetal Monitoring Certification required
- Previous Labor & Delivery experience preferred
- Candidates with L&D cross-training (Mother/Baby) strongly considered
- Minimum 2 years Medical Surgical experience accepted for transition into L&D
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills
- Alternate weekend schedule required
