Hiring Range:

Hiring Range: $87,921.60 to $117,235.73

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is actively seeking registered nurses to become an integral part of a growing continuum of behavioral health care services. This posting is for two new Programs, Crisis Stabilization (23 hour, 59 min stay) is a short term, high intensity program that accepts walk ins and first responder drop offs for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Crisis Residential (7 day stay) is a voluntary and involuntary program for psychiatric stabilization. Responsibilities include multidisciplinary team-based care, medical and psychiatric evaluation and management, supporting and following legal requirements, de-escalation and crisis resolution, engagement in milieu, care coordination, and understanding of social determinants of health.

All employees for this position within the Crisis Stabilization and Crisis Residential program will be expected to successfully complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills training upon hire.

Qualifications:

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF's vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

  1. Licensed in the State of Alaska as a Registered Nurse.
  2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty.


Preferred, but not required:

Experience working in primary care, emergency/crisis psychiatry, substance use disorder and/or withdrawal management. Experience in crisis de-escalation and trauma informed care.

Native Preference:

Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.
