ABOUT THE PROGRAMS: REST CENTERThe Nursing Coordinator provides clinical leadership, supervision, and guidance to the nursing team within the 24/7 REST Center. The Nursing Coordinator will oversee the delivery of nursing services, support staff development and scheduling, ensure compliance with applicable policies and clinical standards, and promote consistent, high-quality care. The Nursing Coordinator will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe, person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused environment for clients, families, and employees.
The REST Center is a 24/7 community-based crisis stabilization program that provides a safe and supportive alternative to hospitalization for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use-related crises. The center offers short-term assessment, stabilization, nursing support, brief therapeutic interventions, peer support, medication evaluation, and connection to ongoing community services. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to provide person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused care. The goal is to help individuals stabilize, avoid unnecessary emergency department visits or hospitalizations, and successfully transition to the most appropriate level of care.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provides supervision and mentoring to RN's and LPN's, including education, training and performance management, at least monthly supervision and quarterly nursing meetings.
- Providing nursing assessment and clinical interventions and assists with medical management for clients with mental illness, addictions and/or serious emotional disorders who are experiencing symptoms requiring treatment.
- Providing individual, group psychoeducation as well as crisis intervention as needed.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Oversee operations, including reviewing orders, scheduling staff, and managing referral requests.
- Provides education and interventions to maintain nursing practice standards, medication administration and self-management, safe storage of medication, and administration of injectable medication.
- Assures high standard of quality of care for patients by developing and implementing standards of care; adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations; measuring health outcomes against standards; making or recommending adjustments.
- Provides consultation to CHR providers on nursing and health-related matters.
- Supports the annual nursing competency assessments for nursing staff.
- Participate and support accreditation surveys. Participate in the preparation, during on-site surveys, as well as the monitoring of standards and ensure standards are met as it relates to nursing care and services. Participate in regulatory and funder reviews, as needed.
- Collaborates and provides education and training to CHR staff and providers on medical conditions, behavioral health conditions and the interplay of the two.
- Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among teams by communicating information; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Qualifying Nursing Degree that meets RN certifications and requirements.
Experience: 2+ years' experience with individuals with behavioral health conditions. Supervisory experience preferred. .
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered Nurse license required.
Training: Maintains training on advances in the field.

COMPENSATION*: $74,176.75 minimum-$111,265.65 maximum*
*Actual rates within this range are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
