Qualifications

• NYS licensed registered nurse required
• Current BLS certification
• SGNA certification preferred
• Telemetry certified or Basic coronary care course within 6 months required
• Moderate Sedation competency within 3 months for procedure room
• Current ACLS certification for APU, Recovery, and procedure room
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing; BSN preferred or must be achieved within 5 years of hire
• Minimum of two years of medical/surgical experience required; cardiac monitoring and critical care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients and families in an ambulatory procedure setting
• Utilize scientific principles for sound judgment and critical thinking through the nursing process
• Work independently and prioritize nursing interventions effectively
• Develop collaborative relationships with the healthcare team
• Participate in nursing councils and committees, showcasing leadership skills
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and staff information
• Demonstrate appropriate care for patients of varying ages
