Job Summary and Qualifications

The Regional Vice President, Support Services provides executive operational leadership for Support Services across an assigned region, encompassing Environmental Services (EVS), Food and Nutrition Services (FANS), and Facility Management. This leader translates enterprise Support Services strategy, standards, and operating models into consistent regional execution and is accountable for performance across division, market, and facility operations. The Regional Vice President directly leads the Division Vice Presidents of Support Services and, through them, market and facility leaders; establishes clear governance, performance expectations, and resource priorities; and drives measurable improvement in care experience, quality and regulatory readiness, workforce performance, operational reliability, and financial outcomes. The role serves as the Senior Support Services partner to Group, Division, and Facility Executives, integrates enterprise functional capabilities with field operations, removes barriers to execution, and builds leadership capacity to sustain high-performing, standardized operations across the region.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides executive leadership for Support Services operations across the assigned region and directly oversees Division Vice Presidents of Support Services, establishing priorities, accountability, operating cadence, and performance expectations across divisions, markets, and facilities.
  • Translates enterprise Support Services strategy into regional operating plans and ensures consistent execution of standards, programs, technology, policies, and service-delivery models across EVS, FANS, and Facility Management.
  • Drives performance across a balanced scorecard with particular focus on care experience, quality and regulatory readiness, operational execution, employee engagement, labor productivity, financial performance, facility reliability, and service excellence.
  • Establishes regional governance and performance-management routines to monitor key metrics, identify performance gaps, prioritize interventions, validate outcomes, and escalate material risks, barriers, or missed commitments to the Vice President of Support Services Operations and appropriate operational executives.
  • Partners with Division and facility leadership to reduce variation and standardize processes, staffing approaches, supply and food-cost management, maintenance practices, technology utilization, and other Support Services operating disciplines.
  • Identifies underperforming divisions, markets, and facilities using operational, financial, quality, compliance, workforce, and service indicators; deploys the appropriate leadership, subject-matter expertise, and performance-improvement resources to accelerate recovery and sustain results.
  • Provides strategic leadership for expense management and financial stewardship, including labor performance, grid and staffing-model execution, supply and purchasing compliance, budget performance, benchmarking, savings initiatives, and disciplined resource allocation.
  • Builds and maintains highly effective executive relationships with Group, Division, market, and facility leaders and serves as the senior regional Support Services advisor on operational priorities, service delivery, organizational effectiveness, and performance risk.
  • Integrates regional operations with enterprise functional leaders across Operations Support, Technical/Engineering/Capital, Regulatory/Safety/Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Clinical Operations, and other corporate partners to enable coordinated execution.
  • Ensures strong operational leadership and alignment for environment-of-care, life-safety, facility infrastructure, food safety, infection prevention, accreditation readiness, emergency response, and other requirements that intersect Support Services operations.
  • Leads regional talent strategy for Support Services, including succession planning, leader selection, coaching, development, performance management, and career pathways for Division Vice Presidents, market leaders, and key facility leadership roles.
  • Sponsors regional implementation of major Support Services initiatives and complex change, ensuring clear ownership, project governance, stakeholder alignment, timely execution, adoption, and sustainment across multiple divisions and facilities.
  • Uses data and field intelligence to identify systemic opportunities, recommend regional and enterprise solutions, and inform future operating models, resource deployment, service expansion, and standardization priorities.
  • Demonstrates executive presence, sound judgment, and decisive leadership in a highly matrixed, multi-site environment; communicates regional performance, risks, decisions, and outcomes with senior-level clarity.

  • Baccalaureate degree in business, healthcare administration, hospitality, nutrition, operations, engineering, facility management, or a related field. Required

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant multi-site operations experience, including 5+ years progressive management experience with multi-site operations in healthcare Support Services, Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Facility Management, and/or hospitality operations. Demonstrated success leading senior leaders, influencing executive stakeholders, standardizing operations across multiple sites, and driving measurable operational and financial results. HCA Healthcare Operations experience is a plus. Required
