The Regional Vice President is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the State and Local Sales Region to maintain client retention and drive double digit growth YOY, in the Americas Public Sector. This key role will develop and manage a team of leaders, focused on new business and the growth of the business. As a member of the Americas Public Sector Management team, the leader is responsible for setting the sales strategy for the team and drive implementation of best practices.
Description:
- Interpret global sales strategy and refine for regional/vertical implementation. Designs, develops and leads implementation of solutions to meet business needs founded on a thorough understanding of business unit strategies and objectives, the competitive landscape, and current and potential future business challenges.
- Manage and coach leaders in the region to enable leaders to coach reps to approach their territories more strategically and empower team to change the way they manage and motivate their teams.
- Lead and direct on-going support of operations activities, which include forecast, pipeline and quota setting processes. Engage in timely and consistent handling of month-end processes.
- Provide leadership to team to achieve and exceed quota goals by leveraging and enforcing adoption of known best practices to increase retention and accelerate growth in every account.
- Foster strong cross-business and cross-functional cooperation with cross functional teams in meeting customer expectations and Gartner's.
- Demonstrated ability to create programs that align and motivate teams focus on Corporate and regional priorities that are in alignment to corporate goals.
- Lead P&L optimization and planning, assign quota based on region and opportunity, and provide accurate forecast and pipeline management of the region.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of proven service-related sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years Sales Management experience.
- Knowledge and experience working with Public Sector clients a plus.
- Proven track record of superior sales performance within teams managed.
- Demonstrated ability to build executive relationships and advise clients
- Ability to lead, drive, and develop team members.
- Experience developing strong internal partner relationships to collaborate for the best outcome.
- Excellent understanding of Gartner Sales Process; comprehensive understanding and use of Drive High Activity and Challenger Sale methodologies.
- Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing; strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and ability to understand broader business implication of decisions.
