Job Description:

We have an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager - Northeast for our Pool group. You will be responsible for leading and coaching the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals within the assigned geography. The successful candidate will implement effective sales strategies, represent the company, and build strong relationships with key players in the region. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities, as well as expertise in sales coaching, data analysis and performance management, pipeline management, and fostering a growth mindset.

You will:
  • Coach and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Implement sales strategies to achieve territory targets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Represent the company within the assigned geography, creating and maintaining strong relationships with key players, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Acquire and leverage market knowledge to understand trends, customer needs, and competitor activities, providing insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage the sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth and achievement of targets, utilizing effective pipeline management techniques.
  • Provide regular updates and detailed reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Identify and address any issues or challenges faced by the sales team, providing guidance and support to overcome obstacles.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of compelling sales presentations to clients, showcasing the value of our products and services.
  • Foster a growth mindset within the sales team, encouraging continuous learning, development, and innovation.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team, ensuring they are equipped to succeed.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating strong ethical standards, professionalism, and a commitment to achieving excellence.
  • Travel expectation: 50% overnight travel. Preferably reside near a major regional airport hub (e.g., DTW, IND, PIT, PHL, EWR, JFK, LGA, or BOS) for efficient travel.


Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven people leader experience.
  • Experience as a Regional Sales Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and sales coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated TTC range will be from $159300 - $295900 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus and/or sales incentives.
