Full Job Description
Regional Safety, Quality, and Enviormental Director

The Regional SQE Director will manage the Americas region's safety, quality, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. The Regional SQE Director serves as the senior expert for the Americas' SQE Department and works with Group SQE on global best practices.

This role is responsible for harmonizing A-Gas Safety, Quality, and Environmental systems, which will include process standardization, the development of best practices, and coordination of SQE Audits for America's Plants and the Rapid Recovery Network. This role will also be responsible for the regional quality team, and transportation programs, to maintain compliance with programs such as Quality, ISO9001, ISO14001, and DOT/Fleet.

This will be a high-travel position that will require at least 50% of the time working in the field locations and with the site safety teams. Preferred candidates home base will be located near Fort Worth, TX with ability to report into the Rhome, TX Plant multiple times per month.

Key Responsibilites :

Build positive and productive relationships focused on growing A-Gas SQE culture at all levels and within all SBUs of the Americas.
  • Align with Group SQE on group policy and best practices and collaborate with the local SQE team on how we can implement across the region.
  • Lead the regional quality team to ensure we maintain our quality certifications such as ISO9001 and ISO14001 and drive continuous improvement within the region through those programs.
  • Analyze risk, trends, and countermeasures to internal and external risk, and develop leading safety metrics to identify actionable safety targets and incident root causes.
  • Lead all incident Serious Event investigations for the Americas and develop processes to mitigate these risks in the business. Issue Serious Event Notices in collaboration with the VP of Operations.
  • Assist the SQE Managers in the education and development of a behavioral culture focused on safety as the number one priority and that encourages near-miss submittals, and incident reporting and ensures a timely and appropriate response to reports.
  • Accountable for compliance with all regulatory agencies on a local, state, and federal level. Manage and control all the company's SQE regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring submission by required dates and maintaining on file as required. Develop standard operating procedures and maintain proper records for regulatory compliance.
  • Provide leadership and development to the SQE managers and create a cohesive work team focused on continuous improvement.
  • Prepares annual SQE budget for the region and manages the budget.
  • Serves as the process expert in support of business evaluation activities in support of A-Gas' growth strategy.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required by the business.
  • Other duties as reasonably assigned.

Knowledge, experience, and qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • 5+ years of experience leading safety teams, and previous experience leading safety teams at a regional level
  • Familiarization with SQE regulatory departments and reporting
  • Experience in the refrigerant industry and/or industrial gas
  • Strong Communication Skills
