Regional Quality Manager - Electronics Division
LOCATION / DIVISION SPECIFIC INFORMATION

The Regional Quality Manager will provide leadership and strategic direction for Quality across the Electronics Division's SMT manufacturing sites. This role will work across multiple sites and functions to drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and consistent deployment of global and regional Quality initiatives.

The position will partner closely with Site Operations Managers, Quality Managers, Quality Engineers, Operations Development, Engineering, and other functional leaders to establish Quality as a competitive advantage across the Electronics Division.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

The Regional Quality Manager is responsible for leading and driving Quality performance across the Electronics Division, ensuring that operational quality objectives and customer expectations are consistently achieved.

This role serves as a strategic Quality leader across multiple manufacturing sites, providing direction, mentorship, escalation support, and best-practice deployment while establishing a strong culture of continuous improvement.

The Regional Quality Manager will:
  • Develop and deploy the Quality strategy across the Electronics Division.
  • Drive global and regional Quality initiatives throughout the Electronics Division.
  • Establish Quality as a competitive advantage through operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Site Quality Managers and Quality teams.
  • Establish and manage a community of Quality professionals and Subject Matter Experts to promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Partner with Site Operations Managers to drive the deployment of regional and global Quality initiatives.
  • Establish a clear path of escalation and provide reactive support to sites and businesses experiencing significant customer or operational Quality issues.
  • Oversee effective responses to major customer issues and escalations.
  • Participate in customer-facing discussions involving product and process Quality.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset across all sites.
  • Ensure effective use of Quality tools throughout process design, operational management, risk mitigation, and problem resolution.
  • Promote the effective use of operational KPIs to monitor manufacturing performance, identify trends, and proactively address potential issues.
  • Manage, promote, expedite, and report on the deployment of GOS Quality Assurance initiatives across the Electronics Division.
  • Ensure sites consistently apply appropriate process development, risk mitigation, root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Provide leadership within the Electronics Division Quality Management community.
  • Provide leadership and partnership within the Electronics Division Operations Development community.
  • Work synergistically with other functional leaders across the Operations Development organization.
  • Participate in Lean and Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Support the implementation and sustainment of Quality Management Systems and best practices across manufacturing operations.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Lead the regional Quality strategy and ensure alignment with organizational and customer objectives.
  • Monitor operational Quality performance through established KPIs and metrics.
  • Analyze trends and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and prevent recurring issues.
  • Drive standardization and consistency of Quality processes and best practices across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Mentor and develop Quality Managers, Quality Engineers, and other Quality professionals.
  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among Quality teams across the Electronics Division.
  • Support sites in resolving complex Quality issues and customer escalations.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication regarding significant Quality risks, issues, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other functional organizations to improve product and process Quality.
  • Ensure effective deployment of global Quality initiatives and requirements.
  • Promote the use of structured problem-solving and risk-management methodologies.
  • Support customer audits, customer meetings, and other customer-facing Quality activities as required.
  • Participate in Lean initiatives and other continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve operational performance.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
HOW WILL YOU GET HERE?

The ideal candidate is an experienced Quality leader with a strong background in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing and demonstrated success leading Quality organizations across multiple sites and within a highly matrixed environment.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Quality, or another analytical discipline required.
  • Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications preferred.
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant Quality or manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Quality management or leadership experience.
  • Proven experience successfully leading the Quality function within a multi-site, multicultural manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole soldering processes.
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Quality teams in a heavily matrixed organization.
  • Experience working in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience managing customer Quality issues, escalations, and corrective action activities.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement and measurable operational results.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting multinational or geographically dispersed manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Experience working directly with major customers on Quality initiatives, escalations, audits, and corrective actions preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of continual professional development and improvement.
