About the OpportunityThe Regional Product Manager (Director) is responsible for ELGi's North American product portfolio development and revenue expansion by identifying potential products; conducting market research; generating local product requirements; determining product specifications; assisting in production timetables; local market pricing; product marketing strategies; local market product support and time-integrated plans for product introductions.
As Regional Product Manager for ELGi North America, you will be responsible for:Product portfolio management including:
- Preparing business cases for new products and developing product road map.
- Developing and executing strategy for positioning new products.
- Overseeing commercial product launch and communications for new products
- Developing and executing strategy for the expansion of sourced product lines and product adjacency development.
Product portfolio maintenance and support including:
- Offering technical support to distributors' sales and service functions.
- Providing support to distributors on project bids.
Communication of product value proposition through value tools including:
- Developing product-specific warranties that align with the global warranty plan and product positioning strategy.
- Providing technical content for all product marketing collaterals and communications.
- Creating and managing mobile-based tools designed to improve sales and service effectiveness.
Creating and managing a unified distributor portal that houses commercial / technical documents, training content, and training evaluation
Product P&L management including:
- Conducting product life cycle profitability analysis
- Defining the process to track, monitor, and review key profitability parameters for equipment and spares.
Partnering with sales team to review sales forecasts and develop a budget for new and existing products.
Developing product training strategy and implementation including,
- Structures for internal sales, internal service, customer, and product line-specific training modules.
- Developing training content.
- Developing and continually assessing mechanisms for assessing knowledge retention.
ELGi representation to the portable statistics committee of AEM and portable and industrial section of CAGI
Co-ordination with the NSD team in India for Non-Standard Design Requirements
Participation in companywide strategic initiatives like GTM for EPSAC & GTM for Oil Free
About YouThe Product Manager opportunity may be a match for you if you have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business discipline or relevant field, minimum 10 years' relevant experience in a B2B industrial equipment field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong commercial background
