About the RoleThe Regional Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational oversight, and execution of all merchandising activities within the Upper Midwest Region. The region typically consists of 3-4 districts and approximately 600-1,000 stores. The successful candidate will drive sales growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence while leading a team of merchandising professionals. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, analytical decision-making, people leadership, and hands-on field engagement.

Travel RequirementsThis is a highly visible field leadership role requiring travel throughout the region. Travel expenses are fully covered, and candidates should expect approximately 2-3 overnight stays per week.
What You'll DoStrategic Business Leadership- Develop, implement, and oversee regional merchandising strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Manage the region's overall business performance, including stores, representatives, third-party merchandising partnerships, and unique market strategies.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve profitability, enhance customer experience, and strengthen store partnerships.
- Analyze sales performance, trends, and operational metrics to drive informed business decisions.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to company leadership regarding growth opportunities and market trends.
Change Leadership & Innovation- Champion innovative merchandising strategies and operational improvements.
- Lead high-impact initiatives focused on business growth, operational efficiencies, shrink reduction, store partnership enhancement, and field execution improvements.
- Serve as a key driver of organizational change, helping teams successfully navigate growth and evolving business needs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions across the organization.
Team Leadership & Talent Development- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of merchandising professionals across multiple states.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain top talent.
- Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular field visits to coach team members, strengthen relationships, and support professional growth.
- Monitor performance metrics and develop action plans that drive individual and team success.
Client & Store Partnership Management- Build and maintain strong relationships with store leadership and business partners.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure mutual success and profitable outcomes.
- Communicate partnership results and business opportunities to senior leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and representative of the company throughout the region.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications- 3+ years of high-level retail leadership experience such as Regional Manager, District Manager, or equivalent, preferably in a "big box" retail environment.
- Extensive retail merchandising experience and expertise.
- Demonstrated success leading large teams and multi-unit operations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting business metrics and sales trends.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology platforms, including laptops and tablets.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel extensively throughout the region.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Experience leading transformation, change management, or large-scale business initiatives.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive strategic business outcomes.
- Deep understanding of retail merchandising principles, product placement, zoning strategies, and customer engagement practices.
Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive Compensation- Base salary: $110,000 - $125,000 annually (based on experience)
