$150,000 - $175,000
This role is also bonus eligible.
Job Description:
The Team:
The Global Client Group leads Dimensional's efforts to acquire long-term client relationships and increase the firm's reach in the marketplace. Team members work closely with both institutions and advisors to offer focused, specialized support and ensure the delivery of a consistently impeccable client experience. The Regional Director, Retirement Group, will seek to develop and expand client relationships with insurance companies and stakeholders in the defined contribution space. The successful candidate will be capable of building strong relationships at all levels of a client's business to understand their investment needs and identify business development opportunities. Success in the role will require the candidate to acquire a deep understanding of Dimensional's business processes, investment philosophy, and systematic approach, and effectively articulate this to clients. The candidate will work directly with Retirement Group teammates, along with other internal departments such as marketing, portfolio management, and analytics to ensure clients receive exceptional client service.
The Role:
The Regional Director will lead proactive sales initiatives and coordinate across the broader broker-dealer channel to deepen Dimensional's footprint within a designated territory. The Regional Director will leverage a strong knowledge of investments, capital markets, and asset allocation theory to partner with clients and prospects and effectively position Dimensional's investment solutions. The Regional Director must have a solid business development and client service orientation and understand the operational and business issues advisors face in building a client-centric, fee-based business. Success in the role will be measured by the financial results that are delivered and the relationship-building activities that drive them forward. This will include prioritizing in-person meetings and events over virtual communication, networking actively, and utilizing CRM (MS Dynamics) effectively.
Please note this position can be carried out on a hybrid working pattern from Austin or Charlotte. This role could also be in-territory in New York, New Jersey, or Illinois.
Responsibilities:
3 Develop, coordinate, and implement marketing, sales, and client service programs for current clients and prospects.
3 Work with senior Retirement and Institutional team members to fully develop opportunities.
3 Build and maintain deep relationships with staff at all levels of a client's business.
3 Provide constructive feedback on market strategies and competitive trends to the executive, sales, and investment management teams.
3 Lead complex technical investment discussions, including sophisticated review meetings, with an institutional audience.
3 Act as an intellectual contributor, thought leader, and a trusted advisor to our prospects and clients.
3 Partner with advisors to streamline their practices, helping them navigate platform transitions and shift toward fee-based, advisory models.
3 Establish yourself as a "thought partner" to high-production wealth management teams and internal gatekeepers.
3 Deliver high-impact presentations on Dimensional's investment philosophy and performance at complex-level meetings, regional conferences, and branch office sessions.
3 Coordinate with internal product specialists and client relationship teams to support complex advisor needs.
3 Serve as a high-visibility spokesperson for Dimensional's academic research and investment theory within the competitive defined contribution marketplace.
3 Own territory P&L by increasing revenue and AUM through the strategic placement of Dimensional's investment suite.
Qualifications:
3 Extensive track record of success in asset management wholesaling or institutional sales
3 A strong academic background with a Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or CIMA designation strongly preferred to match the technical and intellectual sophistication of the firm.
3 Proven history of success in driving measurable AUM growth and managing a commercial territory.
3 Deep commitment to the academic philosophy and process underlying Dimensional's evidence-based investment approach.
3 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment theories and key selling points in a clear, compelling manner.
3 Strong professional and personal integrity, high ethical standards, and a demonstrated capacity for initiative and accountability.
3 Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize high-value territory activities.
SIE (Securities Industry Essentials), Series 7, and Series 63/66 licenses required; SIE and Series 7 must be obtained within the first 12 weeks of hire as a condition of employment.
