Full Job Description
Job Summary:

 

Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Regional Director leads the performance of GARAGE and DYNAMITE stores across Quebec and Atlantic Canada. You will lead, coach, and mobilize a team of District Managers to deliver on GDI's annual sales and operations plan, driving sales and profitability while upholding brand and visual standards. You will also be a key partner to Head Office, sharing market and customer insights to inform Merchandise, Planning, Allocation, Marketing, and Visual Presentation decisions. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and mobilize District Managers to achieve and exceed sales and KPI targets across the territory;
  • Develop sales strategies and business plans to ensure all districts meet or exceed company goals;
  • Review quarterly business plans with District Managers and conduct regular market visits;
  • Ensure GDI's Sales Mission, Brand Selling guidelines, and exceptional customer service standards are upheld throughout the territory;
  • Ensure compliance with all brand strategies, visual directives, and marketing guidelines;
  • Analyze product mix, assortment, and inventory levels to optimize sales and sell-through while meeting customer demand;
  • Monitor productivity by analyzing reports, ratios, sales, and gross margin to address opportunities and challenges;
  • Plan, manage, and monitor wages, shrink, and operational expenses to maximize profitability;
  • Track key performance indicators, including sales volume and gross margin;
  • Oversee compliance with corporate directives, initiatives, policies, and procedures in every district;
  • Monitor competitors, pricing, and market trends, and share insights and recommendations with Head Office;
  • Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and succession planning within the territory;
  • Conduct performance reviews according to company guidelines;
  • Create, implement, and follow through on development plans and goals with each District Manager to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field;
  • 12+ years of experience in the retail industry, including 6+ years successfully managing multiple districts;
  • Strong business acumen, including retail sales, market trends, profit performance, and budget management;
  • Strong communication and coaching skills;
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex problems;
  • Able to organize, prioritize, delegate, and follow up;
  • Team player able to build strong relationships with Head Office partners;
  • Dynamic, driven, and goal-oriented;
  • Proactive, innovative, and a change ambassador;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with employees and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec.
