Regional Director of Training & Instructional Development Reports To: Executive Director of Education Status: Full-time, salaried, exempt
About the Role The Regional Director of Training & Instructional Development is a key leader for a group of our schools. You'll keep teaching consistent and high quality across the region by developing Education Directors and teaching staff through onboarding, coaching, and professional development. As the most visible example of our Montessori approach in the region, you'll also take a hands-on role in enrollment, leading family tours and helping each school reach its goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Montessori Leadership & Enrollment
Model and champion our Montessori approach, setting a clear standard for great practice in every classroom across the region
Take a hands-on role in enrollment, partnering with Education Directors and operations leadership to meet enrollment and retention goals
Personally lead family tours, follow up with prospective families, and guide them through the enrollment process
Train staff to give consistent, high-quality tours, and represent our schools at open houses and community events
Coaching Education Directors
Serve as the primary instructional coach for Education Directors through regular coaching sessions, classroom reviews, and feedback
Evaluate Education Directors on instructional leadership and growth, in partnership with education leadership
Approve time off and plan coverage for Education Directors during extended absences
Onboarding & Professional Development
Design and lead onboarding for new teaching staff, including a 12-month development plan that supplements Montessori certification
Onboard new Education Directors in partnership with the Executive Director of Education
Create clear training pathways for educators at every stage of experience
Plan and facilitate regional professional development days focused on Montessori pedagogy, curriculum, and early childhood best practices
Measuring Impact & Building Resources
Use feedback and data on teaching quality, staff satisfaction, and retention to measure and improve training
Share insights and recommendations with leadership on strengths and priorities across the region
Build and manage a digital library of training materials and resources for the region
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education
Early Childhood Montessori certification (AMS, AMI, NAMC, or equivalent), required
At least 10 years of experience in early childhood education
At least 5 years of supervisory experience, across multiple sites
Deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and a commitment to a Montessori approach
Strong coaching, mentoring, and presentation skills, with the warmth to connect with families and staff
Experience in enrollment, admissions, or family outreach, including leading school tours
Comfort with tools such as ProCare, Salesforce, Vector, and learning management systems
Ability to travel to schools throughout the company minimum 3 days per week or more as needed (other 2 days are work from home)
Candidates must be able to commute regularly to our schools in NJ/PA. Preference will be given to candidates who live in New Jersey

Comfort with educational technology and training platforms (e.g., ProCare, Salesforce, Vector, learning management systems) .
