Drive regional growth through active dealer acquisition, development, and retention while delivering a high-touch, field-based partnership experience. Own execution of revenue, margin, and share objectives by leading and coaching Business Development Managers (BDMs) in-market. Maintain a strong field presence with dealers and the network across Southeastern US to directly influence performance, resolve issues, and identify growth opportunities utilizing Mercury products.
Candidates must be located within the designated dealer territory of responsibility, which includes the Carolinas, and Florida.

Essential Functions:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of assigned Business Development Managers, ensuring strong field execution and accountability to regional goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve Mercury growth objectives, with direct involvement in executing plans in the field alongside BDMs and dealer partners in the field

- Maintain an active field presence, regularly engaging with dealers and OEM partners to drive performance, identify opportunities, and resolve issues in real time
- Oversee onboarding and hands-on, on-the-job training of BDMs to ensure readiness to execute and effectively manage dealer relationships
- Assess performance of BDMs in-market and develop targeted coaching and development plans aligned to regional performance needs
- Partner closely with the Mercury OEM team and actively share dealer conquest and growth responsibilities with BDMs through direct field engagement
- Collaborate with sales leadership to evaluate market needs and trends.
- Report regularly to leadership on competitive products, programs, and market dynamics based on field observations and customer feedback
- Proactively resolve sales conflicts between Mercury, dealers, and OEMs through direct engagement and relationship management in the field
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key dealers through consistent in-person interaction and follow-up
- Establish and sustain open communication with local OEM boat representatives, ensuring alignment on market activity and opportunities
- Assess issues within the region, resolving where possible and report back to upper management when follow up is required
- Partner with category management on current products and support successful execution of new product introductions
- Represent Mercury at national and regional shows, actively engaging customers, promoting products, and generating sales opportunities
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, building a high-performing, execution-focused field sales team
- Serve as a cross-functional bridge across sales, service, and marketing, supporting program execution, resolving customer issues, and ensuring consistent, aligned communication to the dealer network

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree desired
- Track record of exceptional sales performance with the demonstrated ability to discover business opportunities
- 5-10 years working with a dealer organization or equivalent
- A documented track record of success within the marine or power sports industry with knowledge of marine industry dealer or related organization
- Verbal and written skills necessary to effectively communicate within Mercury and within the dealer network -- Excellent organizational skills are a must
- Ability to understand the market and apply inputs into a regional demand plan that drives production; Possess a high level of business acumen
- Ability to work with diverse personalities while remaining tactful, professional, and flexible
- Ability to coach and motivate field staff
- Ability to be persuasive with customers while keeping customer satisfaction as a guiding factor
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good working knowledge of Mercury & related products
- Prior Marine Industry experience
- Basic Marine Technical & Product Knowledge
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) preferred.
- Solid presentation skills

The anticipated pay range for this position is $118,400 - $174,000,annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
