Join our team as a
Refrigeration Supervisor and lead a critical operation in our food manufacturing facility. In this role, you will drive safety, reliability, and performance by overseeing refrigeration operations, optimizing team productivity, and ensuring product quality. You will also play a key role in maintaining compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) requirements.
What You Will Do:- Lead and supervise the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems, including compressors, vessels, condensers, evaporators, pumps, motors, and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plan (RMP), EPA regulations, and all applicable safety and environmental requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive maintenance programs, inspections, repairs, and work order completion to maximize system reliability and performance.
- Monitor refrigeration and utility systems through chemical testing, operational checks, and performance analysis, adjusting as needed to maintain established standards.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, direct corrective actions, and ensure ammonia safety systems and emergency response equipment remain current and fully operational.
- Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies to support maintenance activities, audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives.
- Train, develop, and lead team members while promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, PPE compliance, and adherence to company values and standards.
What We Look For:- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience with ammonia refrigeration systems required, including prior supervisory experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, HVAC, boiler, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated control systems.
- Working knowledge of PSM, OSHA, EPA, USDA, and food manufacturing safety and sanitation standards preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and SAP (preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain respirator qualification requirements, including being clean-shaven when required.
- Flexible to work any shift and participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation for emergency response needs.
Compensation and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $68,000 to $113,000 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
