Impact of the Role
A Project Manager serves as the central link between the client, field operations, vendors, procurement, and company leadership. Their ability to plan, communicate, and execute directly influences project success, profitability, safety performance, and customer satisfaction. This exempt role, working under limited supervision, ensures that the scope, schedule, and budget are effectively executed within the appropriate contract language.
What the Role Does
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of projects that have varying levels of complexity.
- Prepare and manage the project installation plan; prepare and implement job procedures.
- Effectively communicate project requirements from the customer to the project team and all other internal stakeholders; communicate regularly with the estimating and field team to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and updated job status, job change, material flow, and records. Report project progress regularly.
- Identify, minimize, and appropriately communicate risks; control deviations from estimated costs and deadlines.
- Oversee and manage procurement of materials, supplies, services, and controls for timely and cost-effective completion.
- Establish project milestones and analyzes costs; review actual vs. estimated costs to provide timely and accurate reports; identify causes for low productivity or delays and determine impact on the project; adjust plan and/or cost estimates to meet financial goals.
- Manage the full execution, determine scope of work, review terms and conditions in contracts including cost control, delivery fulfillment, service quality, and other customer requirements as they arise.
- Oversee change proposals and other related activities, using excel and/or other systems.
- Document project schedule processes and maintain documentation for internal and external use.
What You Bring
Knowledge, Education
- Construction Management or Construction Project Coordination knowledge are required
- Associate of bachelor's degree in construction management, project management, or directly related studies
- Preferred: Project Management Professional certification
Experience
- 5-10 years of related project management experience in industrial or commercial construction
- Preferred: Refractory Background
