Position overview

Support Heidelberg Materials’ New York operations by leading full-cycle hourly recruiting across a diverse portfolio ofconstruction and construction materialsbusiness lines, partnering with hiring leaders to attract, hire, and retain top talent while delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

What You'll Be Doing 

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for high-volume hourly positions across multiple New York locations 

  • Partner with hiring managers and operational leaders to develop hiring strategies, align talent needs, and drive timely hiring decisions. 

  • Build talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, community outreach, and targeted recruiting efforts for hard-to-fill positions. 

  • Track recruiting activity, analyze hiring trends, and leverage recruiting metrics to provide business insights and support workforce planning. 

  • Influence hiring outcomes by serving as a trusted advisor, managing expectations, and promoting recruiting best practices. 

 

What We're Looking For  

  • Full lifecycle recruiting experience, preferably supporting high-volume, multi-site manufacturing, logistics, transportation, construction, or similar industrial environments. 

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, large requisition volumes, and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong sourcing, candidate assessment, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to use recruiting data to support business decisions. 

  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Excel; Workday experience strongly preferred. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Familiarity with unionized environments is preferred 

Work Environment 

  • Based onsite in Nedrow, NY, with occasional travel throughout Central and Western New York and rare travel to Allentown, PA for training and department meetings. 

  • Frequent visits to aggregate, quarry, asphalt, cement, and other construction-related operations requiring PPE and exposure to outdoor environments, dust, noise, and uneven terrain.
