Basic Purpose:
Eaton Vance's Real Estate Investment Group (REIG) oversees 150+ institutional properties located across the U.S. with an aggregate value more than $10 billion. The multi-sector portfolio is primarily comprised of multifamily properties and industrial properties.
The successful candidate will be a key member of REIG's Finance team and perform a variety of financial functions, including property level financings, the procurement and management of the property level insurance program, financial analysis, financial reporting, valuation, and ad-hoc reports. The analyst will report to REIG Finance Manager and will work collaboratively with other professionals both inside and outside of REIG, including asset management, transactions, fund administration, legal and financial reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages and analyses
• Assist on Fund level and real estate level financing activities (fund credit facilities and property level mortgage debt)
• Assist with preparation and submission of real estate mortgage lender reporting
• Assist with financial reporting, insurance, and cash management functions
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis, financial modeling, and projects for REIG's Director of Finance and the Director of REIG
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, Real Estate, or a similar field with 0-2 years of experience.
• Working toward or having a CPA or CFA is a plus
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to create financial reports and analysis
• Systems-oriented with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work with database systems
• Working knowledge/strength in Excel modeling preferred
• Ability to provide thoughtful, detailed analysis
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability work on multiple projects
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with a broad constituency
• Strong customer service orientation toward both internal and external customers is required
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
