Pay Range: $105k - $125k - Actual compensation within this range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, education, and specific geographic location.
Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RCDD Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing, developing, and testing information processing hardware, with a particular emphasis on structured cabling systems and telecommunications infrastructure. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and clientfacing skills to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct advanced research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware including computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and electrical components.
- Design new products and modify existing products to meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Develop technical specifications for production and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Analyze hardware configurations and processing solutions to optimize performance.
- Test hardware to ensure it meets performance specifications.
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior hardware engineers and may assume supervisory responsibilities.
- Serve as a liaison with clients, participating in meetings to understand and meet their needs effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies and industry standards.
- Participate in special projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:- Required: Secret Clearance.
- Required: Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification.
- Highly Preferred: Experience in RCDD cost estimation.
- Minimum of 5 years of related hardware engineering experience.
- At least 5RCDD RD years of experience in developing layout and design for technology systems, including voice, data, and structured cabling.
- Expertise in BICSI rules, regulations, and standards.
- Knowledge ofNEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards, and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of IT, low voltage, and telecommunications systems. Strong knowledge of Structured Cabling Systems from both installation and basic design perspectives.
