Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care is seeking a
Radiologic Technologist to join our established
Hamden, Connecticut center. As part of a growing organization backed by Yale New Haven Health, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional patient care while working alongside experienced providers and clinical support teams dedicated to serving the community.
Your Role as a Radiologic TechnologistDiagnostic Imaging- Perform diagnostic X-rays ordered by providers to support timely and accurate patient diagnosis.
- Review images for quality and completeness.
- Follow all radiation safety standards and imaging protocols.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiology equipment as appropriate.
Clinical Support- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Obtain clinical information and vital signs as needed.
- Support laboratory and diagnostic testing processes.
- Assist with specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and other clinical responsibilities within scope and training.
- Support patient flow and contribute to an efficient clinical environment.
Patient Experience- Deliver professional, compassionate care during every patient interaction.
- Educate and support patients throughout the imaging process.
- Help create a welcoming environment that reflects the values and standards of Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care.
Team Contribution- Collaborate closely with providers, clinical support staff, and operational leaders.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
- Contribute to a culture built on teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered care.
What We're Looking For- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Current ARRT certification required
- State licensure in Radiography required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Dependable, adaptable, and highly organized
- Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
- Interest in developing clinical skills beyond traditional imaging responsibilities
